Application Procedures
Students who plan to enroll in certificate, diploma or associate degree programs/courses should complete this application for admission.
New Students
Complete the following on-line application. When the confirmation page is displayed, your application has been received and will be processed. Send SAT or ACT scores to the Admissions Office. If you have never taken the SAT or if your scores are not high enough to meet entrance requirements, you may take the placement tests offered by Florence-Darlington Technical College. Click on Assessment Center for more information about hours of operation and testing dates, or contact the Assessment Center at 843-661-8050. FDTC must have an official copy of your high school transcript. It is the responsibility of the student to be sure that the Admissions Office receives an official copy of your transcript. Click Transcript Request to print a copy of the form. (You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the form. Click on Adobe Acrobat to download a free copy). Transfer students who have attended other colleges or universities should also request that official transcripts be sent to the Admissions Office. Follow the procedures in the above paragraph to download a Transcript Request form. To ensure that you are accepted in time for registration, it is recommended that your application and transcripts be in the Admissions Office four (4) weeks prior to the beginning of the semester in which you plan to enroll. Your Social Security Number will be your identification at FDTC. If you do not have one, please obtain one IMMEDIATELY. Forms are available at the nearest Social Security Office. If you select 'Unknown' for your county of residency, you must contact the Admissions Office to clarify your legal place of residence. Submitting this application does not automatically grant you admission to FDTC. You must complete the admissions process by submitting official transcripts, test scores and any additional information that may be required by the Admissions Office. Readmit Students
If you are a returning student and have not attended FDTC for at least one year, you must submit a new application. .
General Information

Financial Assistance
If you need Financial Assistance in order to attend school, we encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA must be completed a minimum of eight(8) weeks prior to the semester in which you wish to enroll.
